Welcome to the U.S.S. Andromeda!

The crew of the U.S.S. Andromeda have been selected by Starfleet to investigate reports of piracy on a far off colony along the former Romulan Neutral Zone. Starfleet's thought process in the matter, is to allow them an "easy" mission, to aid in the psychological recovery from touching minds with the V'Lorno. What they don't account for, however, is that the Empire is not completely gone, and someone wants them to return...

Well my friends, as our fearless leader gets his life set up in my Home State of Wisconsin, I will do my best to serve in his absence. I hope that 30+ years of pencil and paper RPGing will serve me well.

If you have concerns, questions, storyline ideas you want to discuss with me, please do so.

I hope you all will forgive me beforehand for any flaws the mission will entail, but I promise to do my best, give you all a great story to jump off of for your own posts and jps. Thank you for staying involved and lets make this the best mission ever seen! :)

So let's Boldly Go Where Only A Few People Have Ever Gone, Well Except For Maybe Recently, But You're Missing the Message I am Trying to send Here!

» Apologies

Posted on Sun Feb 17th, 2013 @ 3:21am by Captain Sean Gatton in Out of Character

I want to offer my apologies to the crew. I haven't been doing much with the Andromeda as far as pushing the storyline along in the last two weeks, and I felt an explanation was in order. You see, the U.S. Army is medically retiring me from service, and my last day in the Army is going to be the end of this month. As such, I have been exceedingly busy trying to secure a new home 1200 miles away, clear out of the Army, and also work on getting school lined up for as soon as possible as well.

Now, when I move, I will be bringing my iPad and iMac with me (instead of letting the Army move those), so I will have access along the way. However, I also know it will be spotty to say the least since my focus will be to drive from southern Georgia, to Wisconsin.

During my move, I will place myself on LOA, and will ensure the XO has what he needs to continue on while I am getting set up in Wisconsin. As he also knows what the current storyline is about, he can run it, I am sure -- flawlessly -- until I am able to return.

Additionally, I am going to take this moment to say that I have had to remove Marine Captain Dianna Foster from the roster, as she has not signed into the website in over 3 weeks. This will effectively promote our Marine XO to the CO position. Any post that contains Foster, please use her as an NPC at the moment, until she is removed from the storyline altogether.

Please join me in welcoming the newest member of the crew, our Bartender/Waiter - Jem Kavic. He is the first of, what I hope to be, many civilians aboard the Andromeda.

» Farewell to our own

Posted on Fri Feb 8th, 2013 @ 2:10pm by Captain Sean Gatton in General News

Unfortunately, due to real life circumstances, one of our Engineers, Ensign Relin is unable to continue in his role on the Andromeda. He has asked to step down, and I wish him the best of luck. Please join me in doing so as he continues on his way.

On the flip side, the XO and I are working on our Mission Brief from Starfleet Command for the mission, Fear. Depending on time permitting both he and I, we will be able to have the post done quickly so that all can see what we will be doing. After which, we will have a Senior Officer's briefing for all to be involved (that are Senior Officers). During that time, all non-Senior officers, feel free to enjoy time in the Lounge. Hopefully before the end of the weekend we will have our first civilian aboard who wishes to play a waiter. You will be able to get to know him.

So, stay involved all, as we need to do so.

I can’t believe that it’s already been a few weeks since I left Starbase 249 to come aboard the U.S.S. Andromeda. My stay at Starbase 249 was uneventful as it mostly consisted of me busting my butt as a kitchen hand. So when I heard that the U.S.S. Andromeda had…
